New SP Star, now that's always interesting. These go with one of their new keyboards but thankfully are not exclusive to them. First, it was JWK, then it was LCET, but now these come hot off the presses from KTT/HMX. This is an interesting tactile because while it looks like a somewhat typical KTT Matcha bump in their force curves, it is not a KTT stem we have seen before, possibly lending more credence to HMX having some of their own molds.

These early HMX tactiles are so unbelievably high pitched you really have to hear them. They rival Haimu's Rock and Mulberry tactiles, which use metal contacts to achieve their distinct sound, yet the Polestar Orange Pro and Cilantro come close with no such accoutrements. These SP-Stars are a tad less thin sounding than the Cilantros though they share a similar medium strength P bump and the other characteristics you'd expect from HMX. While the linear market is beyond saturated, these are a change of pace from the current tactile crowd and worth a listen if you're bored of mid tones. It's a shame these are so hard to acquire in quantity but with the Cilantro and more making their way to market, you can get this experience with other HMX switches.
