Waffles. The bottom of these stems is inspired by waffles. I would be mad at the ridiculousness of the idea if it wasn't also cool. I got two of these and I'm glad I did because I happened to get one where there's lube on the pole and one where there isn't. This is an entirely different switch with that lubed pole, instantly one of my favorite linears, they are smooth with a deeeeeep, rich, and rounded sound. The one without lube is deep but not nearly as much. If you get these, make sure to lightly dot the bottom of the pole and the top housing shoulders with lube at the very least to make sure you're getting the full experience from this switch. As they are stock, they're not usable because of that large sound discrepancy, these need to be relubed. After relubing, they're a 5 star linear.
Included are pictures of the pole bottom waffle pattern (sharpied to emphasize the raised grid vs the square holes) and top shoulder dot pattern in slightly better detail.
