Big Stock Updates and a Discord Announcement!

Hey everyone, another week more of formalities and updates, but I do have some ideas for the next article as well so long as I can find some information.

I have a lot of stock going live today, starting with a restock of the newest Outemu switches which sold so well. But I can’t do something so boring as only restock old switches, so we now have the two new Outemu Ocean switches, two silent linear switches, one dustproof and one normal MX stem.

Next up, we have some new KTT switches in stock! The KTT Cabbage Tofu linear in both a clear and opaque top housing, as well as KTT Lightning switches. While KTT Cabbage Tofus are another winglatch linear similar to Sea Salt Lemons, Mints, or Grapefruits, I have been trying to get ahold of them for nearly 6 months now, continually missing shipping dates and having sellers refuse to ship on time to meet the rest of a Taobao order, So I’m excited for them.

KTT Lightning is even more exciting though. Similar to Akko CS Silver this is a linear speed switch with 3.0mm travel, and 1.0mm actuation. That is the shortest travel I know of in a stock switch, and while reduced travel isn’t my personal favorite, I know someone is going to want to try these out.

The Epomaker Skyloong Silent Iceberg Switches have finally arrived after only a few delays at the factory! Silent switches, in 4 different linear weights, and two tactiles with relatively large bumps. They also come lightly factory lubed.

These are some exciting switches, and I’m thrilled to have them in hand finally. I might even pick up a set for myself in a bit. They use HaiMu’s previous technique of bottom-out silencing on both the top and bottom of the stem rails for a never before seen interpretation of silent switches. While these silencing “leaf spring” designs don’t look like they would do much, they are easily as silent as other more firm silent switches such as TTC and can be silenced even more with a heavier lube application on the top and bottom of the rails.

Rounding out the switches for today are a few more random additions to the collection. First we have two more odd optical switches that were listed alongside the Team Wolf switches. The blue optical is branded Saybour, and the orange one is Oxford Micro. I don’t know anything about these, except that the Oxford Micro was advertised as a Jixian switch, and both of them are clicky.

I have some Jerrzi Brown switches I bought a board to take them from, but thankfully it was hotswap so they did not need to be desoldered. I’m actually typing on that board right now, not bad for being so cheap. Anyway these are probably some kind of Outemu switch, although they aren’t a perfect match for anything in my collection yet.

Then there is a random, probably Feker, blue and white switch. I don’t know anything about this besides the fact that it is a linear switch, it had no name and no specs in it’s listing. My favorite kind of switch! Looking at the mold markings it looks like it is a dead giveaway for Feker markings, so that’s what it will be named as going forward.

And finally, the grand announcement of a joint Discord server between Switch.Riiport and SwitchOddities! Switch.Riiport/imlr has both helped grow my collection as well as bounce ideas back and forth in many of my theories and starting this blog and store. Introducing Switch/Up! Where you will be able to keep up to date with both of our most recent content, make suggestions/requests, and maybe get some behind-the-scenes info on what’s coming next.

All the lovely banner art is done by Switch.Riiport, so make sure to give her a shoutout when you get there.
